Our committees play a substantial role in guiding the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Foundation Board. From planning to advising and ultimately helping delivering the programs, we couldn’t do the work without them.
Producer Advisory Committee
They provide feedback to staff and contractors on the content of conservation agreements that the Foundation will enter into. We will have a minimum of four livestock producers, one non-governmental organization natural resource expert and an ex-officio government representation from provincial ministries of agriculture and/or environment. Currently both the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture and Saskatchewan Ministry of Enviroment are represented on the Producer Advisory Committee.
Governance Committee
The governance committee handles a variety of responsibilities. These can include monitoring Board structure and processes, recruit or make recommendations for board members and monitor whether the Board is complying with their obligations to the foundation.
Finance Committee
The finance committee helps to over see and organize the budget to reflect the values of the foundation. They may review new spending, ensure the Board is well informed regarding financial matters and ensure proper risk-management strategies.
